Pierce College District
Foundations for Teaching Online (FTO)
Foundations for Teaching Online is a fully online, self-directed professional development course. It is primarily for Pierce faculty who are new to online teaching or faculty who want to start using technologies - like the Canvas LMS- as part of their teaching practice.
To be successful in Foundations for Teaching Online, you'll need enough experience working in Canvas to navigate the interface, build simple course pages, course modules, add files and content and create quizzes and assignments.
If you do not have current Canvas skills, consider taking Canvas Essentials first.
